Innovation Potential of the Czech Regions (zip, 3,6 MB) is an analytical and conceptual material, which aims to comprehensively map the state of research and innovation capacity at the regional level. The aim of the publication was to evaluate systematically the regional innovative potential on the basis of available empirical data, the current theoretical context and sophisticated methodology. The main outputs present a description of strengths and weaknesses of the region’s innovation system and recommendations potentially leading to the increase of competitiveness, based on the knowledge use. This study should serve as one of the bases for the formulation of innovation policies and programmes at both regional and national levels. It is also a conceptual material that shall be used for the preparation of development strategies, particularly in the area of research and development, technology transfer and innovation infrastructure.
